Sea Weed Baths
Collins’s Hot Seaweed Baths established in 1932 is situated on the Ladies Strand in Ballybunion and is a place where relaxation and rejuvenation are encouraged.
Lie back in a bath of saltwater and serrated wrack freshly picked nearby in the wave-cut platform known as the Black Rocks and soak in the softness of the iodine and natural oils of the seaweed released into your seaweed bath.
Relaxing in the seaweed is an old therapy for aches and pains and tired muscles and is a destressing experience for the body and combats the strains of the pace of modern day living.
With your own private bathroom, it is recommended to soak for a half an hour and take in the sounds of the crashing waves of the Atlantic on the beach.
Collins’s Hot Seaweed Baths has remained in one family for three generations and is now run by Mary and Seamus and their daughter Clare.
